Address with flair
Our building, at Reimergasse 4, was designed in 1886 by the Viennese architect Ludwig Tischler, it was originally designed as a magnificent luxurious baroque hotel called “Zur Goldenen Ente”. Interestingly enough is the fact that Riemergasse itself was named after the “Riemer Guild” which practiced the craft of leather processing. The building at Schuler Street 22 was established in 1898 as part of a luxury project by architect Arnold Lotz.
City with charm
Vienna, which is on the Danube, combines historical heritage with a cosmopolitan Savoir vivre and offers unsurpassed quality of life. In 2009 the city once again won first place in the annual ranking of best global cities. The historical core of the city is formed in the center by the borders of the first district which is also known by locals as “The City”. The Romans appreciated Vienna’s location long before it was part of the Austrian Empire. This is evidenced by the Roman ruins of “Vindobona” and various other artifacts. You can see some of these ruins and artifacts by visiting the subway station “Stubentor” that is nearest to the Vienna Residence, or by going to Michaelerplatz or Hoher Markt.
